Ed was a excellent man and a good friend. He was a happy and productive individual. He developed and built the Harper Homes development in downtown Tinley Park, Illinois. He served with the Green Beret in Panama. He rode a Harley Davidson and a Corvette and a Crossfire Convertible. The photo above is Ed in Florida in March 2012.
Ed was a man full of life who made all around him feel happy. He will be missed by his long time friends.

Edward C. Schuman, age 68, lifetime resident of Tinley Park passed away June 30, 2012. Survived by former wife Bonnie Sickle of FL; siblings Juanetta (late Orv) Raitt of Washington, IL and David (Linda) Schuman of Naperville, IL; and nieces and nephews Beverly (Bob) Walker, Steven (Bonnie) Raitt, Tim (Lorri) Raitt, Karen (Dennis) Kroeger, Judy (Jerry) Volk, Angie Schuman, and Jackie Schuman. Preceded in death by parents Cecil and Helen (nee Jagmin) Schuman. Edward served in the Armybetween 1967 and 1969 in Special Forces and was stationed in Panama during the Vietnam War.
He was a jewelry salesman before working for the Secretary of State in Small Business Administration for 10 years. He was a member of the Shadow Riders Club & Roosters, jewelry fraternity. He attended St. George Church.
Celebration of Life Sunday, July 8, 4 to 8 p.m. at Heartland Memorial Center, 7151 183rd St., Tinley Park. Funeral Monday, July 9, 9:30 a.m. at funeral home to St. George Church, Tinley Park, for Memorial Mass at 10 a.m., followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
